CBU  faculty are invited to participate in the 2011 University Teaching Program.

The University Teaching Program is a voluntary program consisting of course design components, including coherently assembling the various elements of a course, incorporating diverse teaching techniques, choosing the most appropriate evaluation methods for students and yourself as a teacher, incorporation of technology in course design, and more. A key goal of the program is to assist new (and seasoned) faculty in developing their teaching dossiers/portfolios, a valuable reflection on teaching practice and a key step in preparation for eventual renewal, promotion, and tenure.  We firmly believe that this program will enhance the effectiveness of your teaching, make the experience more enjoyable for you, and make your life easier.

The cost of this program is $250.  The Vice-President Academic and Provost has agreed to cover the full amount for any faculty member who agrees to complete the program.  Alternatively, you may choose to pay the enrollment fee out of your own funds.  Either way, we believe that the value of the program in terms of enhancing your skills as a faculty member far exceeds the program cost.

Participation in this program is limited. New faculty and those on the waiting list will be given first option.

Additional information will be available soon. The registration form is attached. Registration commences July 28, 2011 and closes August 5, 2011.
