7th annual Learning Conference:

Innovations in Learning: Scholarship of Teaching and Learning

Deadline for submission of proposals is March 14,  2011.

Educators are invited to share their expertise and experience in the area of innovations in learning and their experiences with research on teaching and learning. The conference intends to explore questions such as how can research about our teaching enhance the student learning experience; how can we measure the success of innovations or adaptations to our teaching?  what approaches to teaching and learning are most effective?

The conference will open with a keynote by Dr. Richard Gale,Founding Director of Mount Royal University’s Institute for Scholarship of Teaching and Learning and former Senior Scholar and Director of the CASTL Higher Education Program at the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching.  The second day will begin with a keynote address by Dr. Julia Christensen Hughes, Dean of the College of Management and Economics (University of Guelph) and past-president of the Society for Teaching and Learning in Higher Education.

All interested individuals or groups are invited to submit proposals for 50 minute sessions. Each session is expected to have an interactive component. Formats may include discussions, roundtables, and presentations.
